Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University Srinagar Garhwal’s Center for Mountain Tourism and Hospitality Studies had organized a three-day workshop for managerial and behavioral skills to the rest house managers and temple workers of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee from 3rd March, which is today 5th March. has ended.
On the initiative of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee President Ajendra Ajay, training/workshop was organized for better knowledge of personality development and managerial functioning before Chardham Yatra. In which the manager and employees of the temple committee participated, for three days, subject experts shared information about management, folk behavior, folk culture, pilgrimage- tourism, food and local customs. Chief Executive Officer of the temple committee BD Singh said that before the Badri-Kedar Yatra, a workshop was organized for the management for efficient management.
The participating managers also shared their views on this occasion. It is also worth mentioning here that this workshop was organized in the context of Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra and preparations for the upcoming Yatra of Shri Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham.
In the inaugural session, Sanskrit University Vice Chancellor Prof. Devi Prasad Tripathi, Director FDDC Prof. Indu Pandey Khanduri, CEO BKTC BD. Singh, Director Hospitality Center Prof. s. Subject experts including K Gupta, Dr. Sarvesh Uniyal, Dr. Rakesh Dodhi guided the participants. On the second day of the workshop, Dr. D. R. Purohit threw light on the folk traditions of folk artists. In the concluding session of the workshop, Dr. Sarvesh Uniyal, Dr. Pushkar Singh Negi, Dr. Rahul Bahuguna, Dr. R. C . Sundriyal, Dr. Nagendra Rawat, shared his detailed experiences about management, pilgrimage, tourism culture, history, forest environment. And informed the participants through documentaries and research papers. Dr. Sarvesh Uniyal presented the documentary information of Vivekananda tourism path in Uttarakhand.
The concluding session was presided over by Dr. MS Negi, Dean, Student Welfare. Dr. Sarvesh Uniyal conducted the entire co-ordination of the workshop. Dr. Pushkar Singh Negi expressed his gratitude to all and mementos were presented to the guests. The participants were honored by distribution of certificates on the occasion.
In the workshop, temple officer in charge of temple committee / nodal officer training Rajendra Chauhan, including temple administrative officer Yaduveer Pushpawan, manager Anusuya Nautiyal, Kishan Trivedi, Ramesh Negi, Rajendra Semwal, Santosh Tiwari, Kailash Bagwadi, Bhagwati Semwal, Vivek Thapliyal, Arvind Shukla, Pradeep Semwal Vishal Panwar, Bhupendra Rana, Prakash Purohit, Amit Rana, Maheshwar Shaiv ​​Kedar Singh Rawat, Data Ram Pant, Balbir Negi Ajay Sharma, Dinesh Chandra Bhatt, Suresh Nautiyal, Sanjay Thapliyal Kulanand Pant, Harendra Kothari etc. participated.
