The miscreants did a deadly attack on the saint, the condition is critical
Haridwar: Late last night, miscreants surrounded the Kothari of Juna Akhara and inflicted several blows with a baseball bat. Due to which he was seriously injured. When the saints of the arena reached the spot after hearing the noise, the miscreants fled from the spot. Kothari was taken to the district hospital in critical condition, from where doctors referred him to Dehradun hospital. At the same time, some CCTV footage has been installed by the police, on the basis of which the miscreants are being searched.
According to the information, Kothari Mahakal of the Akhara had gone towards some work towards the Giri Bhairav temple at around 11 pm on Monday. During this, two youths, who came with a baseball bat from behind, attacked him fiercely. Hearing the cries of the saint, till the people and the saint reached there. By then the attackers fled from the spot. The saint was rushed to the district hospital. From where he was referred to the Higher Center. On Tuesday, Municipal Superintendent of Police Swatantra Kumar Singh reached Juna Akhara and inquired about the entire incident. SP City said that the footage of CCTV cameras around the spot is being scanned, in which two assailants are seen attacking Kothari. On the basis of CCTV footage, now the search has been started for these miscreants. The motive of the assault would be known only after the attackers are caught. Foot bridge over Nayar river shed due to heavy rains, many villages affected
Pauri. Rain has started wreaking havoc in Uttarakhand. The foot bridge connecting three villages including Sunargaon under Chakisain tehsil has been washed away due to heavy rains. Due to which people may have to face a lot of problems.
At the same time, about 80 families of three villages have to move through the raw foot bridge. The western Nayar river was in spate due to five hours of torrential rains that occurred under Chakisain tehsil of Thalisain block, a remote area of the district. Due to which the Sunargaon foot bridge, the basis of the movement of three villages, has been completely broken. Tehsil administration team is assessing the damage by conducting on-site inspection of the affected areas. Bharat Panwar, a social worker of the area, said that a foot bridge over the western Nayar river near the college Majra Mahadev was built in the year 2014. Villagers of Sunargaon, Krishal and Kathur used to move through this bridge. But due to torrential rains, the western Nayar river was in spate and the bridge was completely broken due to its strong current. He said that more than 80 families of the three villages have been affected due to the collapse of the bridge. Not only this, agriculture has also been damaged due to land erosion in many villages.

Roorkee. An IIT Roorkee employee died after being hit by an unknown vehicle late last night. The deceased has been identified as Manoj, a resident of Rajputana Roorkee. Police have taken the body in their possession and sent it for post-mortem. Roorkee Police is now looking for the unknown driver with the help of CCTV footage.
According to the information received, 45-year-old Manoj Kumar resident Rajputana Kotwali Ganganahar was working in the Biotech Department at IIT Roorkee. Late on Monday night, he had gone to Malakpur octroi for some work. During this, a speeding vehicle hit him. He was badly injured in the collision. Virtual police stations will soon be set up in Uttarakhand, e-FIR will be registered
Dehradun. The residents of the state will soon get the facility of e-FIR. In this, FIR can be lodged while sitting at home. Initially, e-FIR can be done in respect of vehicle theft and missing items. In this regard, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with senior officials of the Home and Police Department at the Secretariat.
Presentation of e-FIR portal being made under CCTNS was given before the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction is the basic mantra of the government. The system should be such that the public can get their grievances redressed in the easiest way. The Chief Minister said that e-FIR would bring great convenience to the common man. One will not have to worry about registering an FIR. The e-FIRs should be reviewed regularly by the higher authorities. The Chief Minister said that there is a need to increase the use of modern technology in policing. Drone technology should also be used. The Chief Minister directed to organize meetings on various points related to police training, modernization and police reforms. The Chief Minister said that necessary provisions need to be made to prevent false FIRs. A committee should be formed to make suggestions in this regard. The CM was told that the notification for e-FIR is yet to be issued. Initially, it will include FIR in respect of vehicle theft and missing mobiles and items. Virtual police station will be set up in e-FIR. Whatever e-FIR is done, it will go to this virtual police station. The complainant will also get its receipt. Here it will be tested and sent to the concerned police station for necessary action. The e-FIR portal will also be linked to the Devbhoomi mobile app.
