Butter Festival in Daira Bugyal from 16 to 17 August

Here local people went to play Holi of milk, curd and butter on that day. This year also the scope People in Bugyal have made preparations to celebrate their festival with great pomp.

Daira Bugyal is situated at an altitude of 11 thousand feet above sea level, which falls in the Bhadwadi block in Uttarkashi district. There is a gathering of tourists throughout the year in Daira Bugyal. Many peaks of the Himalayas are visible here, including Kala Nag, Bandarpuch, Draupadi’s Danda, Jogin range and Shrikanth are prominent. Here there is a walk from both the villages of Raithal and Barsu. This year the Butter Festival which is called Anduri Parv in the local language is celebrated. On this day the local people worship their Bugyal. By which their animals get fodder.

To give employment to the local people, the government should make full use of the media of the state to increase the state by attracting natural resources by spreading publicity, to promote local fairs, to make efforts to increase the local people. From this the pride of Uttarakhand Dev Bhoomi will remain.
