Senior journalist Panuli staged a sit-in demanding constitutional rights to the media

Dehradun. On Wednesday, senior journalist Jeetmani Panuli staged a sit-in by keeping a silent fast at the local Gandhi Park, demanding constitutional rights to be given to journalists, who are called the fourth pillar of democracy. They have been demanding for a long time to give constitutional rights to the media.

Before the dharna on Wednesday, senior journalist Jitmani Panuli said that even though the journalist has been serving the country and the society with his pen. But he does not have many rights constitutionally in the country. Due to which journalists have to face many problems many times. He said that media does not have rights like executive judiciary. Which is a matter of regret. He said that his movement will continue till the media does not get the constitutional rights in the country.
