Shri Kedarnath: 19 September. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Shri Kedarnath Dham today on Tuesday. On this occasion, special worship was done in the pavilion of Lord Ganesha located at the entrance of Shri Kedarnath Dham.

On the day of Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha has been established on the birthday of the destroyer of obstacles, Lord Ganapati.

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi festival, a procession of Lord Ganesha was taken out by Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee in Shri Kedarnath Dham, in which apart from the temple committee, pilgrim priests and a large number of pilgrims also participated and Kedarnath Dham was greeted with the announcement of “Ganpati Bappa Morya”. After this the worship of Lord Ganesha started and Prasad was distributed.

In his message, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Ajendra Ajay has wished Ganesh Chaturthi.

On this occasion, BKTC Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh, Executive Officer RC Tiwari, Priest Shivling, Vedpathi Yashodhar Maithani and Swayambar Semwal, Manager Pradeep Semwal and Arvind Shukla, Manoj Shukla, Sanjay Tiwari Kuldeep Dharmwan and all the officers and employees, a large number of pilgrims were present. BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaur said that every year the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great pomp in Kedarnath Dham.
