The quarterly board meeting of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) began under the chairmanship of BKTC President Ajendra Ajay in the temple committee’s canal road auditorium, in which for the first time the service manual for the temple committee employees was prepared and 400 personnel of the temple committee were appointed. A proposal has been sent to the government to increase the honorarium on the lines of Shri Badrinath Dham and Shri Kedarnath Dham.
Inaugurating the meeting, BKTC President Ajendra Ajay said that Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has conducted the pilgrimage according to the beliefs and traditions of the Dhams, under the inspiration of the glorious Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the able guidance of the Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami. As a result of better travel management, so far 1073753 (ten lakh seventy three thousand seven hundred and fifty three) pilgrims have visited Shri Badrinath Dham and 1144 107 (eleven lakh forty four thousand one hundred seven) pilgrims have visited. Twenty-two lakh pilgrims have reached both the dhams so far. Said that with the cooperation of temple committee officers-employees, government-administration, right holders, pilgrimage priests of Dhams, the yatra has been conducted in a simple and easy environment.
BKTC Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh presented the agenda of the meeting to the office bearers of the temple committee. Earlier, the compliance report of the decisions of the board meeting of March 27, 2023 was placed before the house on which the temple committee members discussed and put forth their suggestions.
The meeting unanimously approved the action plan for the development, beautification, expansion of Trijuginarayan Temple, Shri Tungnath Temple complexes and construction works of Bhairavnath Shila Parikrama in Shri Kedarnath Dham.
It was informed in the meeting that Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee did not have service manual for the employees and officers, for the first time an innovative initiative has been taken to prepare the employee service manual.
Taking a major decision in the interest of the workers, the temple committee has sent a proposal to the government to increase the honorarium of 400 temporary employees on the lines of sub-level and EPF facility will also be made available to temporary employees.
The temple committee has also decided to form its own security cadre on the lines of secretariat and has proposed to the government for creation of posts. So that the passengers will be able to get proper facilities in worship system, darshan system.
A proposal has been sent to the government for the posts of information technology for e-office digitization, e-filing etc. of the temple committee.
In view of the huge number of pilgrims in Shri Kedarnath Dham, it was agreed to send a proposal to the Government for the creation of the post of Additional Chief Executive Officer. Efforts are being made to build a security wall at Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, to provide group insurance facility to the employees of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee keeping in view the health and risk factors of State Bank of India. Indian Global Foundation to provide Yatri Rest House at Badrinath Dham. According to the letter of Vice President Temple Committee Kishor Panwar regarding allotment of newly constructed shops of Temple Committee in Badrinath Dham, according to the permission given for the construction of taxistand, an action plan will also be prepared for the construction of shops on the vacant land of the Temple Committee in Badrinath.
Proposals related to protection of temple committee’s property located in Lucknow and Fatehpur, railing work for facilities of pilgrims in Shri Kedarnath Dham temple premises were passed.
In the meeting, Temple Committee Vice President Kishore Panwar, members Srinivas Posti, Mahendra Sharma, Pushkar Joshi, Ashutosh Dimri, Bhaskar Dimri, Dr. Virendra Aswal, Rajpal Jaddhari, Kriparam Semwal, Nanda Devi, Ranjit Singh Rana, Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh, Senior Finance Officer Bharat Chandra, Executive Engineer Anil Dhyani, Officer on Special Duty Ramesh Singh Rawat, Executive Officer RC Tiwari, Assistant Engineer Girish Deoli, Assistant Engineer Vipin Tiwari, Private Secretary Pramod Nautiyal, Media Incharge Dr. Harish Gaur, Committee Assistants Atul Dimri, Dipendra Rawat, Amit Devradi etc. were present.
