Today is the 26th Punyatithi of Shri AC Pandeyaji.
AC Pandeyaji started his career as a Journalist with Hindustan Times and worked with late Devdas Gandhi. later joined Govt of India. He belonged to Central Information Service (now known as Indian Information Service). He served in various departments in Government of India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Before joining Govt service he worked with Hindustan Times as Correspondent.
He held posts of News Editor All India Radio Delhi Editor In Chief
Publications Division Head of Doordarshan Kolkata. Was WarCorrespondent too.
He started Development News Service in 1980 and soon got accredited with Press Information Bureau and Both Houses of Parliament as Its
Bureau Chief.
Through DNS PANDEYAJi worked tirelessly to
serve small and medium newspapers by sending regular articles in English and Hindi especially members of the now one of the premier
national level media bodies namely Indian
Federation of Small and Medium Newspapers which he and his wife Mrs Pushpa Pandeya founded in 1984.
He was a writer and art critic too. His published works include a book titled
the Art of Kathakali which is available on
Amazon store.
He has left behind a rich legacy in Journalism. circles and an institution – IFSMN – which is seen as a major hope for protecting and safeguarding
Interests of Journalists from print/electronic/digital news media in general and small medium newspapers periodicals n news agencies in particular.
