On the eve of Independence Day, Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (retd) has greeted the entire country and the people of the state on the completion of 75 years of independence.
In his message, the Governor said that this day inspires all of us to move towards nation building with harmony, prosperity and happiness. Appealing to the people of the state, the Governor said, “On this occasion, let us all take a pledge that together we will take this state and the country forward, exploring new opportunities for better health, education, employment, a new height with innovation and efficiency.” be able to reach
Remembering the gallantry medal winners, freedom fighters, the Governor said that those who made their supreme sacrifice for the freedom and security of this country can never be forgotten. He said that on the occasion of “Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav”, the enthusiasm which is visible in each countrymen for nation building, character building and security of the country is different in itself.
The example of self-reliant India presented in front of the world
Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (retd) said that after attaining independence, the country is moving ahead on the path of progress by establishing new dimensions in every field. He said that while fighting the worldwide epidemic, we have set an example of self-reliant India in front of the whole world by manufacturing more than two hundred crore indigenous vaccines.
Uttarakhand on the path of progress
The Governor said that Uttarakhand, along with the country, is moving ahead in the direction of progress, overcoming the challenges in spite of the harsh geographical conditions. He said that with the successful operation of Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, connectivity, construction of rail routes is expected to make travel more easy and convenient in future.
The Governor also said that continuous work is being done by the government to strengthen agriculture, organic farming, horticulture. He said that youth are being encouraged through various self-employment schemes in the mountain itself so that the problem of migration can be stopped. He said that the government is also providing employment-oriented education and training to the youth. On this occasion, while saluting the mother power of Uttarakhand, the Governor said that the women of the state have amazing power of struggle, despite the odd geographical conditions, the mother power is playing an important role in nation building.
