Dehradun pkgnews24.com, Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Senior) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the main program held at Police Line at Racecourse on Wednesday on the occasion of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day.

On this occasion, the Governor inspected the Raitik parade and took salute. The Governor also honored the police officers who received the ‘President’s Police Medal’ for distinguished services. Uttarakhand Police Magazine 2022 was launched by the Governor and Chief Minister on the occasion. Chorgalia police station of Nainital district was awarded as the best police station

 

Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh (Senior) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also honored the dignitaries of Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award-2022 and Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award-2021 in the main program of the State Foundation Day.

The dignitaries awarded with Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman were presented with certificates of appreciation, trophies and checks of Rs. 1 lakh. Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman 2022 has been conferred on India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, poet, writer, lyricist and Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi, former Chief of Defense Staff Late. General Vipin Rawat, poet, writer and lyricist late Girish Chandra Tiwari ‘Girda’, writer and journalist late. Mr. Viren Dangwal was honoured. While the 2021 Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman will be presented to former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Late. Shri Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Environmentalist Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi, writer Ruskin Bond, Mrs. Bachendri Pal in the field of adventure sports and Narendra Singh Negi in the field of culture and folk art were honoured. Shri Prasoon Joshi and Narendra Singh Negi were honored during the programme. The Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman was honored by the family members of other dignitaries

Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh (Senior) extended his congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day and paid tribute to all the known and unknown, immortal martyrs and agitators involved in the Uttarakhand State Movement. On this occasion, he told the people of the state that we need to take two resolutions on this occasion. The first is to follow traffic rules and the second is to make every part of Uttarakhand a role model of sanitation campaign. “We can significantly reduce road accidents by following traffic rules. Road accidents can be reduced by getting fitness of vehicles on time, renouncing overloading in vehicles and following all rules while driving on the road. The Governor said that tourists come to us from home and abroad. Our roads, tourist spots, rivers and ghats should be kept clean only then we can become role models of cleanliness campaign. The Governor said that on the occasion of State Foundation Day, we have to set three goals for ourselves – Immediate Goals,

 

Intermediate goals and century goals. The immediate goal is to decide what Uttarakhand will look like by 2025 when we will be celebrating 25 years of our establishment. Intermediate Goal, what will Uttarakhand look like by 2030, i.e. at the end of the third decade. This is the decade we have to make our own. which the Prime Minister has also spoken about. Third, the Century Round, by 2047 when India will be celebrating 100 years of its independence. The final stage of the nectar period of freedom. Then we have to decide on this occasion the goal of what Uttarakhand will be like.
The Governor said that Uttarakhand has been famous for school education at home and abroad for years. Universities in the state are being encouraged to set up centers of excellence. He said that teaching in schools and colleges should be such that students get employment, society gets solutions to their challenges, villages, poor and backward people must benefit from teaching on the principle of lab to land. He said that for the development of the state, the governance, administration should be clean and transparent and free from corruption. Concrete steps have been taken by the state government in this direction. Corruption Free App 1064, C0M Helpline 1905, are big steps in this direction. Steps like our government portal, e-office, e-cabinet have been taken towards good governance.

 

The Governor said that it is very important to maintain good law and order in Uttarakhand. Tourism and investment can be encouraged only through a peaceful environment and good law and order in the state. He said that Uttarakhand Police is doing commendable work during Chardham Yatra, Kanwar Yatra and during disasters. Besides, Uttarakhand Police also plays an important role in preventing crimes like traffic cyber crime, women crime and drugs in the changing times. The Governor said that the number of tourists in the state is increasing hugely and we have to promote homestays in the villages. The construction of homestays in the state is under a campaign it needs to be further strengthened.

The Governor said that he is pleased that the state government has decided to create Uttarakhand Organic brand. Uttarakhand can become a huge supplier state for organic farming, herbs, off-season vegetables and fruits. We also see a lot of different success stories in these areas. He said that many people have done well in producing and exporting mushrooms, rajma, cheese, apples and peas. Bedu products in Pithoragarh have earned a national and international reputation. “I don’t see any reason why we can’t be the best of all the states in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the third decade of the 21st century will be the decade of Uttarakhand. I am sure that every child of Uttarakhand will join hands to prove the Prime Minister’s words true. Since the formation of the state, Uttarakhand has made its mark on many measures of development. The Governor said it would not be wrong to say that 22 years is unprecedented but there is still a lot to be done.

 

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made 12 announcements on the occasion of State Foundation Day at Police Line Dehradun. He said that the *State Government has decided to double the GDP of the State by the year 2027. A consulting firm will also be selected soon to make suggestions for increasing GDP by identifying proper use of state resources and sources of income.
Simplified Small Hydro Power Policy and Solar Power Policy will be formulated within three months to increase energy production in the state and attract investors.*
* Under the transformation program to strengthen and expand the establishment facilities of schools and enhance the quality of education under the School Education Department, 200 schools will be transformed every year and 1,000 schools will be strengthened in the next five years. This work will be done in addition to other programs being run in other schools.*
Like Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand will promote high value crops instead of low value crops to boost the income of crop growers.
* A new tourism policy will be formulated within three months to attract investment in the tourism sector.

Livestock farmers in the state will be economically empowered. For this, the State Animal Wealth Mission will be launched.
We have set a target of making 10,000 women and women groups entrepreneurs in the state in the next five years. Under this, any woman and women group will be able to set up industry in rural areas.
The ‘Gaura Shakti’ app will be launched soon for the protection and empowerment of women in the state. Through this, our sisters and daughters will be able to register online and will be under police protection.
An online marketing platform will be made available soon for better marketing arrangement and facilitation of products of women self help groups of rural and urban areas of the state. Brands of various departments like Himadri, Hilansh etc. will get a platform for sale.
* People who catch rewarded criminals will be rewarded to streamline law and order in the state. A fund of Rs. 1 crore will be constituted under the Police Department for this purpose.*
We will try to ensure such a system in the state that the history of the movement of Uttarakhand and various dimensions of folk culture can be included in our textbooks.
“Mukhyamantri Chaupal” program will be launched to solve the problems up to tehsil level of the state. This scheme will implement the ’’Hamari Sarkar, Janata Ke Dwar’’ programme. The Chaupal will be organized by the Secretaries of various departments, Principal Secretaries and District Collectors at various places in the state. This scheme will help in resolving the problems of the people quickly.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tributes to all the immortal martyrs and state agitators who contributed to the state building and said that the government is determined to develop the state in line with the dreams of the state agitators. He also expressed his condolences to all the dead souls in the recent disasters in the state. The Chief Minister also remembered former Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna, the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that the dream of Uttarakhand state was realized during the Prime Ministership of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The Chief Minister said that the mantra of pro-active governance and timely implementation for effective administration given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015 is being followed by our government. Today, development works are being seen everywhere in Uttarakhand. The main reason for this is the sanction of various projects worth over Rs. 1 lakh crore by the Central Government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Many of these projects are done and work is rapidly underway on others. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 21, 2022 in the first village of the country, Mana, appreciated the products of our state and appealed to the countrymen to spend at least 5 per cent of their travel expenditure on local products Spend on purchasing. The Chief Minister also announced Rs 2 lakh for construction of motorway from taxi stand Gairsain through stadium to Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation by interlocking tiles, Rs 2 lakh for Tourism Development Fair Mehalchauri and Rs 2 lakh for Agricultural Park and Tourism Development Fair Gairsain of the. We all have to take collective responsibility in this so that we can connect to the roots of our culture and traditions. In this era of modernity, we will also get the blessings of our ancestors by connecting with our culture.
