Dehradun, pkgnews24.com, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami asked the PWD Department to open all the roads in the state in the rainy season. Adequate machines should be installed for ,Taking cognizance of this, Satpal Maharaj, Minister PWD, Tourism ordered his subordinate department that adequate machines should be installed in all the roads to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

It was told by the Public Works Department of Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority, Emergency Operation Center that a total of 396 machines (JCB, Poklane, Robot etc.) were required on various routes to open in case of closure of the routes operated during monsoon period. has been deployed. According to the report of 06 July 2022 at 3.00 pm, a total of 155 routes were closed in the state, out of which 64 routes have been opened. A total of 91 routes are left to open. Out of which 01 National Highway (NH-07 (Old-58) Kaliasaur to Sironbagad instead of Khankra) is closed and it has been informed by the concerned engineer that the likely date of opening of the said National Highway is till 7:00 PM today. In addition to the above, 03 state roads are closed.
On the morning of 6th July 2022, 21 meter span steel guard bridge has been damaged due to heavy debris in Km 137 of Uttarkashi-Tehri-Ghansali-Mayali-Tilwara State Motor Road No. 15. To make the traffic smooth again on the route, it has been informed by the concerned executive engineer that 30 m span bailey bridge will need to be constructed at the above place, which is likely to take about 25 days. For this, the concerned have been directed to divert the traffic through alternate routes.
