Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday participated in the ‘Nari Swasthya Jan Andolan Yatra – Anemia National Ride’ organized by Dehradun Obstetrics and Gynecology Society at a hotel on Rajpur Road, Dehradun.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that people who work selflessly in the field of medicine and health in the society always do public service. The task of conducting public awareness of health without hope and expectation is certainly an act of merit. He appreciated the Nari Swasthya Jan Andolan program at the national level and described it as a social sector campaign. He shared his experience of staying at Mayawati Advaita Ashram in Champawat where he met a doctor from Surat at Mayawati Hospital. He comes to give his service for two months a year, selflessly and free of charge at the Mayawati Ashram hospital. He said that all such people who do public service work with selflessness are serving humanity. He said a successful life is one that is dedicated to serving others.

The Chief Minister said that there is no greater service than serving people with sincere and good heart, it gives you spiritual satisfaction. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the world’s largest health scheme, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, is being implemented in India, which guarantees treatment worth Rs. 5 lakh per annum. He said that it is a great service to the mother power to raise awareness about anemia. Various schemes are being implemented in Uttarakhand for the welfare of mothers.

The Chief Minister said that the double engine government has always made committed efforts to strengthen the growing steps in the interest of the nation and the mother power. This innovative initiative will be a revolutionary step towards gynecological treatment in other regions of India including Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He expressed hope that similar efforts towards empowering and securing the mother power of Devbhoomi would certainly prove worthwhile

Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand state is implementing many schemes in the field of health. He said our state ranks third in blood donation in the entire country, first in TV free India and among the top 10 states in fighting anemia have gone, of which 600,000 have received free treatment. Also, the work of creating digital health IDs will be started soon across the state. He said regarding increasing faculty stops in medical colleges in hilly areas, the state government has agreed to pay 50 per cent higher salary to the faculty of medical colleges in hilly areas, which will fill the shortage of faculty doctors.

Radha Raturi, former DGP Anil Raturi, National President of the Society Dr. Rishikesh Pai, Dehradun President Dr. Dr. Aarti Luthra Madhuri Patel, Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Dr Radhika Raturi, Dr Ajay Khanna and other doctors, teachers and others were present.
