Under the campaign driven by “No to ineligible, Yes to eligible”
In compliance with the instructions of the government, district level special campaign to be conducted for inclusion of eligible families by excluding ineligible families by survey/verification of ration cards/units prevalent under National Food Security Scheme (Antyodaya and Primary Family) in Pauri Garhwal district. Strict instructions have been issued by the District Magistrate to all the Deputy District Magistrates / Block Development Officers to constitute verification teams in rural and urban areas.
In addition to the above, an appeal has been made on behalf of the District Magistrate to such cardholders who have come under the category of ineligibility or their financial condition has become good, such persons / cardholders can surrender their card voluntarily by 31 May 2022. In this regard, it has been informed by District Supply Officer K.S. Kohli that if any cardholder is found ineligible under the scheme in door to door survey, then legal action will be taken against him along with recovery. If a cardholder surrenders the card due to ineligibility by the stipulated date 31st May 2022, then no action will be taken against such cardholder.
Ineligible to No-Eligible Yes Under the campaign, all card holders are informed through dailies, news channels, social media that any person can contact the helpline number. 1967, and the toll free number of the office of the District Supply Officer, Pauri. You can register your information/complaint with evidence regarding the ineligible ration card holder on any working day between 10 am to 5 pm on 18001804053. The name of the person giving such complaint/information will be kept confidential. Information can also be given through other accessible means.
The District Supply Officer also informed that the ineligible ration card holders still have time till 31 May 2022. If any beneficiary / ration card holder is found ineligible after 31 May 2022, then under the relevant sections of the National Food Security Act 2013 and the Essential Commodities Act, along with the first information report, the benefits taken earlier will be recovered. He has appealed to all the ration card holders of the district to kindly cooperate in this very important campaign of verification in the work of public interest.
