Madan Mohan Kothari, in-charge of Joint Rotation Yatra Arrangement Committee, said that pilgrims from the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh etc. are contacting on phone everyday regarding Chardham Yatra. Told that 25 pilgrims from Rajasthan and 30 from Maharashtra have made advance booking of buses for May 2. This first batch of pilgrims will leave for Chardham a day before the commencement of the Yatra.
The doors of Chardham will open in May.
The date of opening the doors of Chardham in Uttarakhand has been fixed. The police-administration has started preparing for the journey. The doors of Kedarnath Dham located in Rudraprayaga district will open on May 6, while the doors of Badrinath Dham located in Chamoli district will be opened on May 8. The doors of Yamunotri-Gangotri Dham located in Uttarkashi district will be opened on May 3.
Advance booking of 42 buses..
The Joint Rotation Travel Arrangement Committee made up of nine transport companies operates buses from Rishikesh to Chardham Yatra. Brijbhanu Prakash Giri, senior administrative officer of the committee, said that so far 42 buses have been booked in advance from different provinces. Inquiries are also coming daily.
