Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat inaugurates ICU unit at Coronation District Hospital

Dehradun, pkgnews24.com. yesterday a chapter has been added to the health services of the state. State Medical Health and Medical Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat duly inaugurated a 10-bed ICU unit at Coronation District Hospital, Dehradun. Earlier, serious patients had to depend on Doon Hospital and other hospitals for ICU. With the availability of ICU facility in the district hospital, now the patients coming here will get huge relief. At present, 10 staff nurses have been deployed from Doon Medical College to run the ICU unit. The departmental minister said that soon permanent arrangements would be made for ward boys as well as staff nurses in the district hospital. Medical Health and Medical Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat duly inaugurated a 10-bed ICU unit at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Coronation District Hospital today.
Dr. Rawat said that now serious patients will get ICU facility in Coronation Hospital. For the operation of the ICU unit, 10 staff nurses from Doon Medical College have been deployed at Coronation Hospital, so that there is no problem in the treatment of patients.
The departmental minister said that soon permanent arrangements would be made for ward boys as well as staff nurses in the district hospital, for this, he directed the departmental officers to send proposals for creation of posts as per requirement to the government. After the inauguration of the ICU unit, the departmental minister also took a meeting of the doctors and departmental officers posted in the hospital. He directed the officers that better medical facilities should be provided to the patients coming to the hospital and medicines should also be made available from the hospital itself along with all types of free pathology tests.
He also expressed displeasure over the fact that till now the proposal for acceptance of the posts of Ward Boy and other class IV employees has not been sent to the Government from the level of Chief Medical Officer. The Departmental Minister said that the district and joint hospitals should be provided facilities as per IPHS standards so that in future the hospitals can get NABH recognition.
On this occasion, Director General Medical Health and Family Welfare Dr Shailja Bhatt, CMO Dehradun Dr Manoj Upreti, CMS Coronation District Hospital, Dr NSbisht, Dr Shikha Jangpangi, Dr DP Joshi, Dr Vijay Panwar, Dr Alok, Dr Manu Jain along with other doctors and departmental Officers were present.
