The Chief Minister gave instructions to the officers during the review of the Forest Department in the Secretariat.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during the review of the Forest Department at the Secretariat on Monday, directed the officers to form a task force in coordination with various departments for human protection from the attack of Guldar and other wild animals. If Guldar attacks any child in any area, then the responsibility of the Forest Officer and DFO of the concerned area should be fixed.
Action plan should be prepared for the identified places related to human invasion of Guldar. Strict action should be taken against illegal mining and illegal felling in forest area. Effective efforts should be made to prevent forest fire incidents. In order to conserve forests and prevent forest fire, special attention should be paid by the Forest Department to public awareness along with public participation.
The Chief Minister said that innovative efforts should be made by the Forest Department to conserve forests, reduce human and wildlife conflicts, reduce landslides. Forest department officials should be given targets for innovative works. An effective action plan should be prepared so that farmers do not suffer from wild animals. The Chief Minister instructed the officers that whatever work is being done, they should be seen on the ground.
