UPCL transformers kept on the roads inviting accidents
BJP leader Advocate NK Gusain said that Uttarakhand Energy Corporation has kept electric transformers on the roadside in Raipur and Doiwala as well as across the state and protection wire or boundary wall has not been made outside most of them, which seems to be openly inviting accidents for the future.
On the one hand human and animal lives can be lost due to these electric transformers kept on the road, on the other hand it is natural for the state government to be defamed.
Due to this kind of gross negligence of the Electricity Department, many times the people’s representatives and workers have to face public anger.
The BJP leader said that the Uttarakhand Energy Corporation has not learned any lesson from the accidents in Chamoli last Thursday and earlier.
Gusain demanded the Managing Director of Energy Corporation, Anil Yadav, to remove the transformers kept on the roads as soon as possible and arrange for systematic transformers, install safety barbed and warning boards around the transformers so that there is no loss of life or property due to any kind of accident in future and the victim’s family is not forced to stumble on the road every now and then.
It is said that if the Electricity Department does not rectify its negligent working style and methodology within a month, then the BJP workers will be forced to complain about the Electricity Department to the Chief Minister of the state, Pushkar Singh Dhami, whose responsibility will be entirely on the management of the Uttarakhand Energy Corporation.
