The book “Aukhanam” by Dr. Veniram Anthwal, the rich tradition of Uttarakhand has been recorded in the ‘Asia Book of Records’ and ‘India Book of Records’, the mother tongue of Uttarakhand spoken in Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari By compiling the folk proverbs (Aukhanam), their Hindi meaning and meaning and the basis of their creation and the teachings to be learned from Aukhanam have been highlighted by Dr. Anthwal. Originally resident of village Anthwal village Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand Dr. Anthwal Presently, Government Post Graduate College, Karnprayag is working in the History Department of Chamoli district.Dr.Anthwal has published more than 40 research papers including the writings of the books ‘Political and Cultural History of Uttarakhand,’ and ‘Contribution of Uttarakhand to Azad Hind Fauj’. The proverb “Aukhan” which is being created in the rural life of Uttarakhand is disappearing at present and this tradition is almost coming to an end, but its relevance remains the same even today. The mother tongue of Uttarakhand gets a place in the world for the whole of Uttarakhand. It’s a proud moment.
