There was tremendous enthusiasm among the students in various sports and cultural programs organized on the occasion of twentieth anniversary of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Shantikunj. Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Basketball sweated a lot for victory, while in Kabaddi, Badminton, Table Tennis etc. players showed their tremendous strength.
The Sports Officer of the University said that DENVV is famous for bringing ideological revolution among the youth. Along with the curriculum, activities that give positive motivation to the youth are conducted in various programs. This sequence continued in Utsav-22 also. The second day of Utsav-22 was named after various physical, intellectual. Team Rojiwala defeated Team Kiran by seven points in the girls’ category Kho-Kho. In the boys section, Pushpraj’s team won. In badminton, the pair of Aditi and Vijaya secured the first position with 21-14 points. In girls’ category Kabaddi, Jai Bharti’s team defeated the rival team by 34-18. In boys’ badminton, the combined team of Sakal and Kushagra defeated the team of Sajal and Atul 21-8, 21-14 to get the first position.
In-charge of cultural competition Dr. Shivnarayan Prasad said that intellectual competitions were organized along with sports. In this, students displayed their arts in various competitions including classical singing, easy music, dhapli playing, dance. Healthy competition was seen in Pragya Yug Sangeet based on folk education from Lokranjan in music. Along with this, the students were fascinated by painting, classical dance, short drama, tabla playing, guitar playing, harmonia playing Pragyageet Antyakshari etc. The finals of all these competitions will conclude on Monday.
