Dehradun: Animal Husbandry Minister Saurabh Bahuguna distributed checks worth Rs 10.48 crore for 39 cow houses run by NGOs at Pashudhan Bhawan auditorium here on Monday.
The funds were distributed by the Minister of Animal Husbandry under the arrangement of annual cow house distribution and honor to recognized NGOs fulfilling the prescribed qualifications for sheltering homeless cattle at the departmental level. He expected all cow houses run by NGOs to strive for maximum economic self-reliance through public cooperation, dung, cow urine and other five-cow products besides partial state assistance.
