The India Meteorological Department has issued instructions regarding rains to Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Haridwar.
According to the forecast issued by Director, India Meteorological Department, Dehradun at 11:00 am on 09.07.2023, Uttarkashi, Tehri and Dehradun districts of the state on 09.07.2023 and from 11.07.2023 to 12.07.2023 Chamoli, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar with very heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places along with thunder and lightning at some places / very intense to very intense spells of rain The possibility has been expressed. For immediate exchange of data, all the designated officers and departmental nodal officers of the disaster management IRS system should be on high alert, all revenue sub-inspectors, village development officers, gram panchayat officers should remain in their areas, all outposts / police stations should also be prepared for disaster. Staying in high alert including related equipment and wireless, not switching off mobile / phone of any officer / employee during the above period, taking appropriate action to keep raincoat, umbrella, torch helmet and some necessary equipment and material in their vehicles.
