Journalist Sudhir Saini was beaten to death by three youths at Datauli Ranghad of Police Station Dehat Kotwali of Saharanpur, Pahadonkigunj, Saharanpur. The deceased and all the three accused were residents of Chilkana. The journalist was coming from his home in Saharanpur on his bike at 11 am.
The three youths in the Alto car clashed with the journalist over the overtake. After which the three accused thrashed the journalist and fled after throwing the body in a pit filled with water. The police have arrested two accused, Farman and Jahangir. While one of the accused Mannan is absconding. At the same time, taking cognizance of the murder of the journalist, CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed the accused to impose NSA.

The youth, a resident of Chilkana, was coming towards Saharanpur at 11 am on Wednesday. As soon as he reached near Datauli Ranghad of Chilkana Road, then the Alto car rider Farman, Jahangir and Mannan got into a fight over the overtake. The three accused in the car beat up journalist Sudhir Saini. The young man was seriously injured in the fight. The accused left by throwing the injured youth into a pit filled with water nearby. Nearby people noted down the number of the vehicle and informed the police. On the basis of the number of the vehicle, the police have arrested two accused Farman and Jahangir. While Mannan is said to be absconding. The young man is said to be a journalist.
There can also be murder in rivalry
The deceased journalist and all the three accused were residents of Chilkana. Police believe that the trio may have enmity with the journalist. Police is engaged in interrogating the accused. At the same time, the search is on for the third accused. At the same time, the police say that the journalist was killed due to more beatings. Police is probing on many aspects.
SP City Rajesh Kumar says that the journalist has died due to more assault. Old enmity is being investigated.
